Design Engineer - (Show Details)

Sturm Ruger & Co., Inc. a highly successful, high-end manufacturer of sporting rifles, shotguns and handguns.

Scope of the Position:
Reporting to a Senior Engineer or Operations Manager, this position has product design responsibility for the location's new products, from concept to production.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Provide solutions to product specifications developed using our VOC (Voice of Customer) process. Create or modify existing gun designs using 2D and 3D CAD drafting tools (Solid Works). The candidate should have experience with programming CNC machines (CAMWORKS or equivalent). The projects require developing the design of the assembly, the working mechanisms and the corresponding detail components for the firearm as well as their material selection. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus.
• The ability to work in a team environment with the various other departments needed to bring a new product to launch.
• Develops the test plans, tests and evaluates functions and performance of product prototypes.
• Develops and executes project plans/schedules.
• Provides technical support to internal and external customers.

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent is necessary. An advanced degree is a plus.
A minimum of five to seven years of product design and development engineering experience, preferably in a firearms manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated skills in 3D/Solid Modeling using SolidWorks, Pro E or a compatible CAD system.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (ANSI Y14.5) is necessary.

Personal Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be a high energy, creative, resourceful and organized engineering design professional. The ability to multi-task and to manage several projects simultaneously is a must.
The new incumbent must bring strong analytical tools. Well-developed communications skills, both verbal and written, are key.

The cash compensation for this position includes a base salary that is commensurate with background and experience, a profit sharing plan and a bonus program that is based on company financial results. We also provide a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.

2016 Sturm Ruger Summer Engineering Internship - (Show Details)

SolidWorks CAD, Technical Writing and Documentation skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels.

You must have CAD, technical documentation and communication skills. Must be working towards an Engineering degree and preferably a Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering degree. An upcoming Junior or Senior and must be continuing classes after the internship.

Minimum Qualifications:

Scope of the Position:
Ruger is seeking a Business Data / Sales Analyst to ensure that the Executive Staff and Sales Team have the proper insights, analytics and sales operations support to function effectively. Particular focus is given to leveraging industry data, customer input and internal operational reports. Responsibilities include:
• Collecting, researching and sharing industry, customer and internal data on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis;
• Validating data integrity;
• Analyzing data within and across data sets;
• Working directly with executive staff, sales, marketing and other internal resources to develop key performance indicators;
• Assisting in determining production levels, product releases to customers and managing inventory levels;
• Providing input on product pricing;
• Provide tracking, analysis, and forecasting on all sales and marketing promotional initiatives (distributor programs, retailer program, consumer promotions, etc.).

About the Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position must have high level of analytical thinking and demonstrate talent for deriving insight from data and effectively communicating those insights to drive action. The ideal candidate will also have:
• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business, Accounting, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, etc.)
• 2+ Years of Sales / Data Analysis Experience

The salary range includes a base salary of $50,000 to $70,000, depending upon experience level and mix, and profit sharing and a bonus program tied to Company performance. Occupational Health Nurse - (Show Details)

Responsible for the development and administration of all associate/occupational health services in accordance with company policies, practices, procedures and applicable regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Power-point is required. Employee will be responsible for certain aspects of training and must have good communications skills.

Educational Requirements and Experience:
• Minimally an Associate's Degree preferably a Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited college.
• Must possess an unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the state of NH.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an RN is preferred and experience in Occupational Health nursing in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of federal and state regulations applicable to occupational and environmental safety and health.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Evaluate and treat illnesses and injuries with emphasis on early recognition & intervention, follow-up and monitor workers as they return to work. Assist in administration of case management for all injured associates.
• Provide emergency treatment of occupational injuries and illness as required.
• File Workers Compensation claims and facilitate claims administration
• Maintain the OSHA 300 Log, individual files and OSHA 300A at the end of the year. Communicate with appropriate individuals including plant management and participate in case closure plans for each case.
• Assist with workplace assessments and evaluations.
• Provide annual training in hearing conservation, blood borne pathogens, health effects of lead, drug and alcohol effects and may assist Safety Supervisor with other plant health and safety education training programs to employees and first aid responders.
• Acts as an advocate in observing and teaching employees good work practices, housekeeping, hygiene, the use of personnel protective equipment and respirators. • Conducts pre-employment, post-accident and random drug testing on site in accordance with the Corporate Substance Abuse Policy.
• Maintains employee administrative/medical records according to standards of confidentiality as required by OSHA, professional ethic codes, ADA, HIPPA, etc. Retains these file in accordance with the companies Record Retention Policy.
• Maintains current awareness of applicable federal, state and local health, industrial hygiene and safety regulations. Be prepared for OSHA audits.
• Maintains any and all current certifications at date of hire for length of employment.
• Administers and directs all in house immunization programs and advises management regarding any CDC issues.
• Administers the campus Health Fair for continuous improvement.
• Works with operations management with identifying, evaluating and implementing work accommodations and return to work options for associates with work restrictions.
• Provide Crisis intervention, counseling and referrals to appropriate services.
• Provides health education and promotion programs to include: smoking cessation, exercise and fitness, nutrition, weight control, hypertension, stress management.
