Team Ruger Places First in Shooting Industry Masters
September 26, 2005
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR), is pleased to announce that its team took first place in the Industry Class at the recently concluded Third Annual Shooting Industry Masters tournament held in Henderson, NV. Eleven teams from the shooting industry competed in this prestigious match for "bragging rights" as to which company really out-shoots its competition.
Sturm, Ruger President Stephen L. Sanetti had the second highest industry individual score, and Sturm, Ruger Prescott General Manager Robert Stutler took the third high industry individual award, making the event almost a clean sweep for team Ruger. Other members of the winning Ruger team were Shooting Sports and Media Relations Coordinator Ken Jorgensen and Assistant General Counsel Kevin Reid.
This event was jointly conducted by FMG Publications and the National Shooting Sports Foundation, to help support the industry's "Step Outside" program. By encouraging industry executives and employees to "Step Outside" and engage in competitive shotgun, rifle, and pistol shooting, the Shooting Industry Masters demonstrates Sturm, Ruger's commitment to active participation in the shooting sports.
