Ruger Gold Label® Shotgun Wins Field & Stream Magazine's "2005 Best of the Best" Award
November 17, 2005
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is pleased that in the December 2005 - January 2006 edition of Field & Stream magazine, it was announced that the Ruger Gold Label side-by-side 12 gauge shotgun was awarded the "2005 Best of the Best" award by a panel of seven field editors.
According to these editors, winners of this award "performed up to expectations and, in many cases, beyond. Their prices are reasonable and fair. Their designs are well thought out, and their usefulness to sportsmen is unparalled."
Remarking specifically about the Ruger Gold Label shotgun, the panel stated, "This side-by-side shotgun is a new American classic with English lines...wonderfully slim and light...lighter and trimmer than many 20 gauges...easy to shoot well...and it points like a sixth finger."
Summing up their editors' comments, Field & Stream noted, "It handles like a British best but sells for a price that many ordinary uplanders can afford."
